Feel free to follow me if you are striving to be a happy healthier person :) I will follow you back if you have those goals too! I want to be fit, healthy, and in the best hape of my life! I want to be able to look in the mirror and be happy. I'm just a twenty-something striving for fitness.

I believe in encouraging one another, so if you get random messages from me.. that's why! :) My posts tend to be encouragement through talking. A few motivational pics here and there too.

FORMSPRING

Day 8: Name 5 things you like about your body (you can do it) and the one body part you’d like to change the most.

Doing this because it is important to remind yourself what you like instead of focusing only on what you want to change. :)

1. My Eyes
2. My Hair
3. My Lips
4. My Eyebrows (I know this is kind of a weird one, but when I was little (Elementary School age) I used to have massive bushy eyebrows and was teased about them, so I plucked them extremely thin (over compensating, BIG TIME!) Now I still pluck them but they are natural looking.
5. My Quadriceps (Another kind of weird one. But I am starting to see them tone where they weren’t before (especially the inner thigh) I’m not trying to bulk them up until they’re huge, but it’s nice to know as I lose weight my legs are going to look toned. Hopefully similar to this:

My biggest change is probably my thighs or tummy. I’m most self conscious about them.

b3skinny:

My eyes.
My face
My hair
My wrists
I am starting to feel my collarbones which is good.

I’d love to change my thighs.

DO IT.

I worked hard tonight. I’m going to work hard tomorrow. I suggest you do the same.

And get on the right track

Hey oh. I am back! Down two lbs from last week. Now that’s the kind of math Joey likes. (Come on you friends nerds.)

Hiatus

Hey everyone! I know I have been MIA. I apologize. I hope you all did better over the holiday break then I did. >.< But what’s done is done and now it’s time for a fresh start!

I have a few New Year Resolutions and one of them is making this year the year meet my “goal body.” Same formula as always. Exercise + Healthy Eating.

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend. And remember, you’re beautiful! All shapes & sizes are.  (I’m pretty sure Beyonce, Adele, Christina Hendricks, Scarlett Johansen, Kim Kardashian, Kate Winslet  etc. are not size zero and last I checked plenty of people found these women beautiful.)

Make losing weight a way to feel great about yourself because you’re getting yourself fit for life & treating your body well with exercise & good food.

(PS - I am not saying size zero aren’t beautiful.)

WHY?

This weekend when I put in four miles I told someone. Their reply wasn’t “Good for you!” “That’s awesome!” “Way to work!” It was, “why?” I was taken by surprise and simply smiled and said, “Because I want to be healthier.”

Here’s the honest truth though readers. It’s not just because I want to be healthier. It’s not only so I can look in the mirror and be 100% confident with how I look. It’s not so when I go buy jeans I don’t have to feel sad and dejected afterwards. Looking good and feeling good is part of it, but there is MORE then that.

Here’s the deal friends. I’m young (but older then some of you I’m sure.) But in the back of my mind I know one day I am going to have kids and I don’t want to be one of those parents that doesn’t have energy to PLAY. I don’t want to sit my kids in front of the tv because I’m too exhausted to take them to the park. I don’t want to be a bad example for my kids when it come to being active and eating. I want to be someone my future children (and others) can look up to.

And that is the my top reason for eating healthy and exercising. What is yours?

Weekend Workout

On Saturday I ran the most I have. 2.5 Miles + 1.5 of walking. Hamstrings can still feel it today.
